Wonderful Antique Stickpin in Box

Anyone who is familiar with my little shop knows that I love things that come cased and also I have a love of portraits and this little item comprises both. This dear little stick pin has the most charming portrait which I believe is hand painted on ceramic of a young woman in what looks like Edwardian clothing, this little portrait is framed with little tiny loops. The pin itself is gold in colour, I am uncertain whether it is pinchbeck or brass. The painting is in good condition as is the pin itself although the stick is no longer completely straight. I believe the box to be the original one, again it is in good condition although there is some wear to the upper sides and it still closes securely. On top of the box is the name of the jewellers it came from W Padgett in Newark. I have tried to research this jewellers, but I have failed to come up with any conclusive answers. The stick pin measures approx 2&1/2" in total length with the portrait approx 1/4" in diameter and with it's surround approx 1/3" in diameter. The box measures approx 3&1/2" in length by 1" in width by 3/4" in depth, it is lined with dark green satin and the inside base is a wonderful green velvet and it still has it's green satin loop which secures the pin. My instinct is that this little piece like the portrait of the woman is early 1900's I also believe that this would unlikely to have been a commissioned piece, but it is clearly a piece that was special to the person who bought it and one would hope worn with the pride it deserves.
